Album Notes & Community Reviews

Capitalizing on the mid-century appetite for exotic ballroom dance styles, this release presents highly polished, accessible arrangements of South American rhythms. The bandleader's use of colorful brass and prominent percussion effectively introduced sanitized versions of Latin music to mainstream North American audiences.
