Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing his reign as the preeminent popularizer of Latin music in the United States, the bandleader offers heavily romanticized, highly danceable Afro-Cuban rhythms. The luxurious orchestrations and infectious beats were designed explicitly for American ballroom consumption rather than strict ethnographic accuracy. The release further solidified his massive influence on mid-century pop culture.
