Album Notes & Community Reviews
On 'Softscars', yeule pivots from glitchy electronic soundscapes to a cathartic style steeped in '90s alternative rock and shoegaze, marked by distorted, high-energy guitars and pop-punk melodies. The album's songwriting conceptually links each track to a metaphorical past scar, exploring themes of vulnerability, trauma, and the persistence of memory with raw lyrical honesty. Co-produced by yeule with Kin Leonn and others, the production balances this raw emotionality with polished, effervescent textures, creating a work that is both sonically volatile and melodically sticky.
