Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released under a pseudonym, this covers album by the legendary indie rock trio Yo La Tengo finds them tearing through a set of classic 1960s garage and proto-punk songs. Recorded quickly and with deliberately blown-out, lo-fi production, the tracks exude a raw, unpretentious, and aggressively noisy energy. It allowed the veteran musicians to briefly shed their meticulous studio polish in favor of joyous, basement-punk abandon.
