Serving as the true birth of their modern sound, 'May I Sing With Me' is the first Yo La Tengo album to feature bassist James McNew. The band embraces heavily distorted noise pop and mellow slacker rock, crafting a highly playful, energetic, and bittersweetly psychedelic indie rock experience.
