Album Notes & Community Reviews
As the band's first entirely self-produced record, 'This Stupid World' captures a raw, live-in-the-studio energy derived from extended jam sessions. The album's sound is a dynamic mix of expansive, noisy drones and hushed, melodic passages, providing a foundation for its lyrical themes. These lyrics confront the passage of time and a sense of perseverance, resulting in a work widely considered by critics to be a vital and focused late-career highlight.
