Album Notes & Community Reviews

The brothers' third Japanese album folds synthesizer, piano and violin into their Tsugaru shamisen sound. Ryoichiro and Kenichi Yoshida, from Noboribetsu in Hokkaido, had played the instrument since the age of five and studied the Tsugaru style under Takashi Sasaki. Most of its tracks were carried over into their self-titled American debut the following year.
