Album Notes & Community Reviews

The critically lauded debut album from the Edinburgh-based trio is a chaotic, genre-defying collision of alternative hip-hop, industrial noise, and African vocal traditions. The production is incredibly dense and lo-fi, providing a tense, urgent backdrop for the group's harmonized chanting and aggressive rapping. It famously defied expectations by unexpectedly winning the prestigious Mercury Prize over several high-profile pop acts.
