Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally compiled as a Japan-only release before finding wider distribution, this collection perfectly highlights the Seattle band's infectious, deeply humorous approach to power pop. 'It's Low Beat Time' pairs Scott McCaughey's knack for incredibly catchy, garage-tinged melodies with a wry, self-deprecating wit. The album remains a brilliant, uplifting alternative to the overwhelming gloom that dominated the Pacific Northwest scene at the time.
