Album Notes & Community Reviews

The deeply prolific Los Angeles rapper delivers an incredibly smooth, highly introspective slice of underground hip hop. 'From Whence It Came' heavily utilizes dusty, looping jazz samples and deeply pitched soul vocals, providing a notably lethargic canvas for his remarkably calm, deadpan lyrical delivery. The album explores complex themes of Black identity, family lineage, and personal growth with profound nuance.
