Album Notes & Community Reviews

Meaning 'The Toxic Couple', this album marked a significant artistic turning point for Zahara. After parting ways with her major label, she crowdfunded the project and took full creative control, resulting in a rawer, darker, and more introspective sound. The album sheds the twee-pop innocence of her debut for a more melancholic and rock-influenced indie pop style, exploring the complexities of a failing relationship.
