Taking its Latin title from a line in the sci-fi horror film 'Event Horizon', Zao's fourth album is a foundational pillar of modern, chaotic metalcore. The production intentionally embraces a harsh, abrasive sludge metal tonality, effectively soundtracking the band's remarkably dark, conceptually apocalyptic Christian lyricism.
