Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing their evolution away from conventional song structures, Mukai Shutoku's ensemble delivered a highly eccentric and abrasive set of math-rock compositions on 'Stories'. The record heavily utilizes jerky, syncopated funk rhythms, angular guitar dissonance, and Mukai's distinct, stream-of-consciousness spoken-word delivery, resulting in a deeply idiosyncratic listening experience.
