Ferrum Sidereum

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Ferrum Sidereum', the instrumental trio builds upon a conceptual foundation of cosmic iron, translating its mythological weight into a monumental and sprawling double album. The compositions are rooted in the tension between disciplined structure and chaotic abrasion, with Massimo Pupillo’s bass providing heavy, riff-based anchors while Luca T. Mai’s baritone saxophone shifts between hypnotic lines and wild, distorted squalls. A crisp, treble-dominant production emphasizes the coarse textures and the sharp, percussive interplay of the ensemble, creating an apocalyptic soundscape that feels both geologically grounded and otherworldly.
