Album Notes & Community Reviews

Spearheaded by Emperor guitarist Samoth, the Norwegian supergroup shifts their sound decisively toward incredibly precise, hyper-aggressive death metal. While retaining the chilling, apocalyptic atmosphere of their black metal roots, the album relies heavily on mechanically precise blast beats and thick, punishing grooves. It stands as a devastatingly heavy, incredibly clinical masterclass in modern European extreme metal.
