3RA1N1AC

Brainiac (often stylized as 3RA1N1AC) was a highly influential American indie rock band formed in Dayton, Ohio, in January 1992. Known for their chaotic, futuristic "synth-punk" sound, they combined punk energy with Moog synthesizers and noise-rock guitars. Their career was cut short in 1997 by the tragic death of lead singer Tim Taylor, but they are recognized as a major influence on artists like The Mars Volta and Death Cab for Cutie.
