Biography
A Minor Forest were a math rock trio from San Francisco, active from 1992 to 1998 and briefly reunited in 2013 and 2014. Guitarist Erik Hoversten, bassist John Trevor Benson and drummer Andee Connors built intricate, dynamic songs from changing time signatures and sudden quiet. Their two albums for #Thrill Jockey#, 'Flemish Altruism' (1996) and 'Inindependence' (1998), made them cult figures of 1990s American post-rock.
