Add N to (X)

Biography

Add N to (X) was a London electronic group (1994-2003) of Ann Shenton, Barry 7 and, later, Steven Claydon, who made exuberant pop from antique analog synthesizers. Their #Mute# albums, from 'On the Wires of Our Nerves' (1998) to 'Loud Like Nature' (2002), remain monuments of retro-futurist electronica. Their live rigs of antique equipment were as much a draw as the records themselves, and the group's reputation has only grown since the split.
