Biography
Alphaville is a German synth-pop band from M眉nster, formed in 1982 around singer Marian Gold. Their 1984 debut album 'Forever Young' produced the enduring international hits 'Big in Japan', 'Sounds Like a Melody' and 'Forever Young' itself. Gold is the only founding member still in the band, leading a line-up with keyboardist Carsten Brocker, guitarist Lars Kutschke, drummer Patrick Metzger and bassist Alexandra Merl. Later albums include 'Catching Rays on Giant' (2010), 'Strange Attractor' (2017) and the orchestral re-recording set 'Eternally Yours' (2022).
