Biography

Amon Düül were a German collective formed in a Munich commune in 1967, pioneers of krautrock whose mostly improvised records include 'Psychedelic Underground' and 'Collapsing / Singvögel Rückwärts & Co.' from 1969 and the folk influenced 'Paradieswärts Düül' from 1970. The commune's more professional musicians left to form *Amon Düül II*, and the original group dissolved in 1970 after recording that final, more focused album together.
