Biography
Manchester progressive rock band formed in 1999 by Sel Balamir, Neil Mahony and Matt Brobin. Amplifier fuse heavy riffs, effects-laden guitar and atmospheric songwriting across albums including 'Amplifier', 'Insider', the self-released 'The Octopus', 'Echo Street' and 'Mystoria'. Balamir and Brobin remain the core of the band, which retains a strong cult following in Europe. Their self-released records and relentless European touring have kept them independent, prolific and revered well beyond the British rock mainstream.
