Biography
An Albatross is a noise rock band from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, formed in 1999 and fronted by Edward B. Gieda III. Albums including 'Eat Lightning, Shit Thunder!' (2001), 'We Are the Lazer Viking' (2003) and 'Blessphemy' (2006) compress grindcore, psychedelia and progressive rock into very short, frantic songs, matched by famously chaotic live performances. The group is associated with the Philadelphia and Wilkes-Barre underground scenes and has toured widely despite its small catalogue.
