Andy Pratt

Biography

Andy Pratt, born in Boston on 25 January 1947, is an American singer-songwriter celebrated for two 1970s albums: the self-titled 'Andy Pratt' (1973), which carried his song 'Avenging Annie', and 'Resolution' (1976), produced by *Arif Mardin* and extravagantly praised by Rolling Stone. A Harvard graduate and skilled multi-instrumentalist, he never matched the critics' predictions commercially. After converting to Christianity in the late 1970s he continued with largely Christian records, settling in Belgium in 1996 while continuing to write, record and perform.
