Biography
Anyone's Daughter are a German progressive rock band from Stuttgart, founded in 1972 by guitarist Uwe Karpa and keyboard player Matthias Ulmer and named after a *Deep Purple* song. Their classic line up, with Harald Bareth on bass and vocals and Kono Konopik on drums, made the symphonic 'Adonis' (1979) and the Hesse inspired 'Piktors Verwandlungen' (1981) for #Brain# and later German language labels. Split in 1986, the band reformed in 2000 around Karpa and Ulmer, releasing 'Danger World' and 'Wrong' with a new rhythm section and singer André Carswell.
