Biography
ASA-CHANG & Junray is a Japanese avant garde percussion project formed in Tokyo in 1998 by ASA-CHANG, founder and former bandmaster of the *Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra*, with programmer Hidehiko Urayama. Joined by tabla player U-zhaan in 2000, the group mixed percussion, electronics and fragmented voices, finding an international audience through #The Leaf Label# releases such as 'Jun Ray Song Chang' and 'Tsu Gi Ne Pu'. Since 2010 ASA-CHANG has led the project alone, performing with saxophonist Yoshihiro Goseki and violinist Anzu Suhara.
