Biography

Aviador Dro is a Madrid electronic group formed in 1979, pioneers of Spanish synth pop in the wake of *Kraftwerk* and *Devo*. Its members perform under coded names, led by founder Servando Carballar as Biovac N, mixing futurist manifestos with technopop on albums from 'Alas sobre el mundo' and 'Síntesis: La producción al poder' to 'La voz de la ciencia'. In 1982 the group founded #DRO#, Spain's first independent label, and it remains active after more than forty years.
