Biography
Bang are a Philadelphia hard rock trio formed in 1969 by Frank Ferrara, Frank Gilcken and Tony Diorio. Signed to #Capitol Records#, they released 'Bang' and 'Mother / Bow to the King' in 1972 and 'Music' in 1973, mixing heavy riffs with melodic power. Long overlooked, the band is now prized as a forerunner of doom metal, and the original trio reunited in 2014 for tours and new recordings.
