Bastard

Biography

Bastard were a Japanese hardcore punk band from Tokyo, a leading act of the Burning Spirits scene. Fronted by singer Tokurow, with guitarist Zigyaku, they combined hardcore speed with heavy, memorable riffing. After 'Controled in the Frame' in 1989 they released 'Wind of Pain' in 1992, now considered a classic of Japanese hardcore. The band ended in the mid 1990s, and several members continued in *Judgement* from 1996, taking the Bastard sound into a harder direction.
