Biography

Begnagrad was a Slovenian avant-garde band from Ljubljana, formed in 1976 around accordionist Bratko Bibič and clarinetist Bogo Pečnikar. Mixing folk dance forms, free jazz, rock and theatre into gleefully chaotic music, the band recorded sessions in 1977 that stayed unreleased for over a decade, issued its only contemporary album 'Begnagrad' on #ZKP RTLJ# in 1982, toured Western Europe and split in 1984. The 1977 recordings appeared in 1990 as 'Jodlovska Urška'.
