Biography
French brutal death metal band formed in Saint-脡tienne in 1998, fronted throughout by vocalist Julien Truchan. Benighted moved from blackened death grind on their 2000 debut toward technical, concept driven brutality on albums including 'Icon', 'Asylum Cave', 'Necrobreed' and 'Ekbom'. Signed to #Season of Mist# since 2009, they are noted for relentless tempos, psychopathology themed lyrics and a punishing live reputation across Europe's extreme metal festivals.
