Biography
Bérurier Noir was a French anarcho punk band formed in Paris in 1983 by singer François Guillemot and guitarist Loran, using a drum machine nicknamed Dédé instead of a drummer. Their cheap, festive and confrontational shows mixed punk concert, circus and anarchist rally, and the albums 'Macadam Massacre' (1984), 'Concerto pour détraqués' (1985), 'Abracadaboum' (1987) and 'Souvent fauché, toujours marteau' (1989) made them the emblematic band of French alternative rock. They disbanded in 1989 after three farewell shows at the Olympia in Paris, then reformed between 2003 and 2006 for concerts and the album 'Invisible'.
