Biography
Between was a Munich ensemble formed in 1970 by composer Peter Michael Hamel with Robert Eliscu, Roberto Detree, Cotch Black and Ulrich Stranz. Improvising between classical, jazz, minimalist and world traditions, they recorded 'Einstieg', 'Dharana' and 'Silence Beyond Time', quietly anticipating world music and new age. Flautist *James Galway* guested on the debut. The group wound down in the late 1970s.
