Blixa Bargeld

Biography

Born in West Berlin, Blixa Bargeld is a German musician and multidisciplinary artist who shaped the landscape of industrial and experimental music. [1, 15, 16] As the founder and frontman of Einstürzende Neubauten, he pioneered a new musical language by utilizing non-traditional instruments like scrap metal, power tools, and custom-built devices. [1, 14, 17, 18] His artistic identity is defined by his highly expressive vocal range, from piercing shrieks to a resonant baritone, and his textural guitar work, notably as a founding member of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
