Biography
Brygada Kryzys was formed in Warsaw, Poland, in 1981 by Robert Brylewski and Tomasz Lipi艅ski, two leading figures of the first Polish punk generation. Calling their approach punkadelic, the band mixed punk, psychedelia and reggae, and recorded its self titled debut in 1982 for #Tonpress# under martial law conditions that soon forced its dissolution. A reunion produced the second studio album 'Cosmopolis' in 1992. Periodic later reunions sustained the band as a live act until Brylewski died in 2018, leaving a compact two album catalogue with an outsized place in Polish rock history.
