Biography
Brazilian singer from Rio de Janeiro whose husky, powerful voice reinterpreted rock, samba and MPB. Her albums for #PolyGram# in the 1990s and the Latin Grammy-winning live record 'Ac煤stico MTV' (2001) made her one of Brazil's best-loved performers, and her version of *Cazuza*'s 'Malandragem' became a signature. Eller died suddenly in 2001 at thirty-nine, leaving a short, intense catalogue. Her posthumous reputation has only grown since.
