Biography
Christoph de Babalon is a German producer and DJ known for his visionary and bleak fusion of hardcore drum 'n' bass, breakcore, and dark ambient soundscapes. Born Jan-Christoph Wolter, he gained notoriety in the mid-1990s through his association with *Alec Empire*'s #Digital Hardcore Recordings#, releasing his landmark album 'If You're Into It, I'm Out of It' in 1997. This work, praised by artists like *Thom Yorke*, solidified his signature style of hellish, complex breakbeats paired with apocalyptic, cinematic atmospheres. After leaving #DHR#, he continued to release music on labels like #FatCat# and #TigerBeat6# and co-founded his own imprint, #Cross Fade Enter Tainment#.
