Biography
Cibo Matto, Italian for 'crazy food', was the New York City band of Yuka Honda and Miho Hatori, formed in 1994. Their trip hop and art pop mixed hip hop, jazz and Brazilian influences, most famously on the food-themed debut 'Viva! La Woman' (1996). The expanded line-up of 'Stereo Type A' (1999) followed, then a 2002 split, a 2011 reunion and the final album 'Hotel Valentine' (2014). The band ended for good in 2017.
