Biography

Clark-Hutchinson was formed in London by Andy Clark and Mick Hutchinson, veterans of *Sam Gopal's Dream*, as an improvising duo. Their 1969 debut 'A=MH2', released by #Nova#, built long instrumental pieces from blues, jazz, raga and psychedelia and became a cult record of the British underground. Expanded by bassist Stephen Amazing and drummer Del Coverley, the group turned toward songs on 'Retribution' in 1970 and 'Gestalt' in 1971, then split, leaving a small catalogue anchored by one of the era's most distinctive improvisation records.
