Biography
Philadelphia's Cleric, formed in 2003, fuse avant-garde metal, mathcore, grind and free jazz into long, unstable compositions full of electronic noise and sudden quiet. Their two albums for #Web of Mimicry#, 'Regressions' in 2010 and 'Retrocausal' in 2017, the latter featuring a guest appearance by *John Zorn*, have made them cult favourites of extreme experimental metal. The core of Matt Hollenberg, Larry Kwartowitz and Nick Shellenberger has driven the band since its first EP.
