Biography
CMX is a Finnish rock band formed in Tornio in 1985 by A. W. Yrjänä and Pekka Kanniainen. Starting in hardcore punk, they developed an experimental, progressive influenced mainstream rock sound sung in Finnish, with Yrjänä's mythological, philosophical lyrics at its centre. With guitarists Janne Halmkrona and Timo Rasio long established in the lineup, CMX became one of Finland's most acclaimed and popular rock bands.
