Biography
Colette Magny was a French singer-songwriter born in Paris, whose blues-rooted voice and guitar made her debut 'Les Tuileries' (1963) a landmark of French chanson. After May 1968 her songs turned to open protest, and she spent the 1970s recording for #Le Chant du Monde# and working outside the commercial industry. She died in Villefranche-de-Rouergue in 1997. Her uncompromising stance cost her a mainstream career.
