Cormega

Biography

Queensbridge rapper Cormega, born Cory McKay in Brooklyn, New York City, built a respected independent career after years in prison, a shelved #Def Jam# debut and a brief spell in *The Firm*. His albums 'The Realness' from 2001 and 'The True Meaning' from 2002, released on his own #Legal Hustle# label, are known for plainspoken, reflective writing about Queensbridge street life, loyalty and loss, delivered without glamour and with a poet's eye for detail.
