Biography

Cressida were a London progressive rock band formed in 1968 around Angus Cullen (vocals), Peter Jennings (keyboards), Kevin McCarthy (bass) and Iain Clark (drums). Their two #Vertigo# albums, 'Cressida' (1970) and the darker 'Asylum' (1971), favour melodic, song-based progressive rock, and the band split in September 1970 before the second album was released. Both records are now cult favourites of the early British progressive era.
