Biography
The solo project of Leeds songwriter Chris Hooson, who writes, sings and plays nearly all of Dakota Suite's fragile slowcore songs and its minimalist piano instrumentals. From 'Songs for a Barbed Wire Fence' (1998) and 'Signal Hill' (2000) on #Glitterhouse Records# to the chamber music of 'The End of Trying' (2008) on #Karaoke Kalk#, the albums are Hooson's work with rotating collaborators, among them pianists *Colin Dunkley* and *David Buxton*, rather than the output of a standing band.
