Biography
Das Racist were a Brooklyn alternative hip hop trio of MCs Heems and Kool A.D. plus hype man Dapwell, formed by Wesleyan friends in 2008. After the viral 'Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell', their 2010 mixtapes 'Shut Up, Dude' and 'Sit Down, Man' mixed academic references with deadpan jokes, and their sole studio album 'Relax' (2011) made year end best lists. They split abruptly in December 2012.
