Biography
Dashboard Confessional began in Boca Raton, Florida, in 1999 as Chris Carrabba's acoustic solo project, its name taken from a lyric in the song 'The Sharp Hint of New Tears'. 'The Swiss Army Romance' and 'The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most' made Carrabba an emo standard bearer, and the full band albums 'A Mark, a Mission, a Brand, a Scar' and 'Dusk and Summer' took the project to major label success before a later revival produced 'Crooked Shadows' and 'All the Truth That I Can Tell'.
