Biography
Daughters are an American rock band formed in 2002 in Providence, Rhode Island. Originating from the ashes of grindcore act *As the Sun Sets*, the band initially carved out a niche with a chaotic mathcore sound on their debut 'Canada Songs'. They progressively evolved, incorporating more noise rock and industrial elements on subsequent albums 'Hell Songs' and their self-titled effort for #Hydra Head Records#. After a turbulent hiatus, the band reunited and released the universally acclaimed 'You Won't Get What You Want' in 2018 on #Ipecac Recordings#, cementing their legacy with a darker, more atmospheric, and lyrically profound style that blends menacing tension with experimental song structures.
