Biography
Deadbeat is the dub techno project of Scott Monteith, a Canadian producer born in Kitchener, Ontario, and shaped by Montreal's minimal scene before relocating to Berlin. Since 'Primordia' (2001) he has released a deep catalogue of dub-weighted electronic albums on labels including ~scape and his own #BLKRTZ#, and he forms the duo *Crackhaus* with *Stephen Beaupré*. His DJ sets and live shows are staples of the dub techno underground.
