Biography
Diles que no me maten is an experimental rock band from Mexico City, formed in 2017. The five-piece group, which includes brothers Ra煤l and Gerardo Ponce, built its sound on a foundation of improvisation, poetry, and a shared love for krautrock and post-punk. Taking their name from a Juan Rulfo story, their music is a dense and unpredictable fusion of wiry art-rock, psychedelic textures, and spoken-word passages delivered by frontman Jon谩s Derbez. After their debut EP 'Cay贸 de su gloria el diablo', they gained wider recognition with albums like 'Edificio' and the breakout 'La vida de alguien m谩s', cementing their status as a vital force in Mexico's independent scene.
