Biography

California electric blues outfit The Dirty Blues Band recorded two albums for #ABC-Bluesway# in the late 1960s. Led by harmonica player Rod Piazza and organist Pat Maloney, the only members on both records, the group tackled Chicago blues standards and Piazza originals on 'Dirty Blues Band' and 'Stone Dirt'. Piazza later found wider fame with Bacon Fat and the Mighty Flyers, leaving these raw early albums as cult documents of the West Coast blues scene.
